Overcoming The Impossibilities

If I were a diligent fisherman, always sailing on the deep waters
I would encounter distinguished events, that only nature can provide
Perhaps large hungry sharks, or fierce dark clouds filled with rain
Where my imagination wanders, the possibilities are diversified

If I fail to endure, I lose the opportunity to personally grow
With defeat conceived within, negativity overtakes condescension
Strong winds break thru the skin, huge waves extend over my head
Calamity will undoubtedly overpower the mind, shifting my attention

Continuously facing these difficult situations provides experience
Particularly when it comes to my intricate emotions untrained
Trust, anger, fear, worry, stress and anxiety just to name a few
Finding myself forced from the comfort zone, so easily obtained

Do I develop anger with God Himself, for incidents transpired
Outwardly displaying my deep rooted selfishness, losing self class
Conceivably I could face these circumstances with patience
Firmly upholding the mental attitude that all will come to pass

While attempting to manage emotional and physical realities
A figure, walking on top of the water, is slowly coming toward me
As this manly figure draws closer, my mind becomes paralyzed
My unsettled nerves can't function, under this unduly chivalry

Here stands Jesus outside the boat and my comfort zone
If I'm panic stricken by all the emotions could I dare step out
Does God's law of gravity not say that I will sink and drown
I stand amazed at the faith it takes to overcome this doubt

If Jesus says "come" and I ignore Him, would it be disobedience
Can I be obedient to Jesus yet ignore the laws God has created
I wonder what Peter was thinking, feeling or seeing in his faith
When Jesus made an example out of him, his peers intensely waited

Peter, a simple fisherman, out of the boat, walks on the water
His strong faith defied laws of nature while walking in submission
Peter did not concede to gravity until he was overtaken by fear
His focus quickly strayed from Jesus without advanced admonition

When we set out to accomplish things for Jesus we can triumph
Losing sight of Him to focus on ourselves, fear will succeed instead
I pray that today you will move out of your selfish comfort zone
Start a life filled with overcoming the impossibilities that lie ahead
