Are You Patient
Isn't it genuine that we all fashion mistakes in this life
As a series of bad choices can guide us to destruction
Our emotions so easily blind us from seeing the truth
Followed by reactions, leading us contrary to instruction
The end result can leave us bewildered in sorrow
As we slowly descend within the dark bottomless pit
We claw at the sides trying our best to escape out
But to the feelings of helplessness, we slowly submit
These murky man made cavities are for our own good
Teaching us in common areas we often need to thrive
Failing to respond appropriately, we hinder ourselves
Utilizing our own strength and courage trying to survive
In this darkness, we become afraid and suddenly cry out
Possibly searching for divine intervention as we consult
It's so unfortunate that we are a "fast-driven" society
Leading us to be impatient and demanding a quick result
Not completely knowing what your religious beliefs are
Or if you even believe in a loving God and His only Son
Obviously this is your choice and entirely up to you
For me though, my first love simply can't be outdone
Father expresses love and concern for all His children
With that also comes discipline, when we fail to obey
When we are weaken and lose in our own determination
Dependence on God shifts our focus to trusting His way
Selfish attitude brings to light expectations of a want
But God looks directly to the heart and our real need
Misery may come as God grooms His garden in you
Plucking those petty wants, as they are a blooming weed
Never lose faith and hope while feeling overwhelmed in life
In that moment, Jesus will carry you and God will be at work
In Genesis. God creates and then views everything as good
So ... are you being patient, or traveling insanely berserk
