Lord Jesus,

It is on my heart to pray for all those who are holding onto past events that have hurt them deeply. Give them a revelation to stop drugging it up, to not seek revenge, or to make excuses for holding onto people who have made an exit from them lives. For yesterday is over and shall never be again. Help them to just let go and let God be God in their lives.

Help them Lord to look not mournfully into the past for it comes not back again. Help us to all wisely improve our present, for today is ours to live in. And it may be all that your grace allows us to have.

Help us to go forward to meet the future, without fear. Knowing that You, Lord, will have everything under control, once we let go of it. Surrender what we are trying to control to You and Your wisdom.

Help us to forgive quickly, for it is not ours to judge others or seek to repay them. You alone are God and may all humbly submit under your hand, and learn to love as you taught us.

Thank you for your mercy on me and your forgiveness for all my sins. I pray that others would show the same to me as I seek to move out of my past and into the wonderful future you have planned for me.
